The Professional Association of Resumé Writers (PARW) offers certification as a means of providing a standard of excellence in the resume writing profession. From time to time, The Institute convenes a 3-day study group to help prepare individuals for the four-module examination given by PARW. Check the course description in the Class Schedule section of our web site to see when the next study group will be offered.
To participate in the CPRW study group, you must be experienced in writing
résumés and critiquing résumés for others. Experience in training both individuals and groups in résumé writing is strongly preferred. The study group is designed to help you prepare for the examination. These fast moving sessions require a solid background in résumé writing; they are not basic “how to write resumes” instructional sessions.
Participation in the study groups means making a commitment to:
• Fulfilling The Institute registration and PARW certification requirements
• Attending all three study sessions
• Dedicating additional time for study on your own or with your peers
• Taking the PARW certification examination shortly after the study group finishes
Note: One of the PARW test modules involves preparing a résumé and a cover letter. For this module, participants need to have adequate word processing ability and access to a laser printer. |
